š What's New in Foodback 5.4.0
š„ A Brand-New User Management
Adding people, deciding what they can see and keeping track of who has access is now much simpler. User Management has been rebuilt at both Account and Unit level, so everyone on your team gets exactly the access they need, all from one screen.
Invite several people at once: enter one or more email addresses, choose their access and send. New users get a single welcome email.
People fill in their own details: new users add their name, phone number and profile picture the first time they log in. You only need their email address.
Flexible access: give Admin or Regular access to the whole Account, to selected Units, or to a Group. Units added to a Group later are included automatically. A user can even be Admin at some Units and Regular at others.
One list of everyone: see every person with access, their role, where their access reaches, their status and when they were last active. Search by name or email and filter by status.
Everything in one place: open a user to edit their details and access, see their latest activity, and copy or resend an invitation, cancel it, deactivate or reactivate the user.
Password resets: send a reset-password email to anyone who has forgotten theirs.
Unit Admins manage their own Units: they can invite and manage the users at their Units, including pending invitations.
The right emails to the right people: users who already use Foodback get a short notice that they've been given access instead of a new invitation, and people who haven't logged in yet don't receive feedback reports.
A refreshed My profile with the same layout as User Management, showing exactly what you have access to.

š A Smarter Venue Picker
Choosing which venues to look at in All Foodbacks is now faster and easier, especially if you have a lot of them.
Select venues by Group or Category, with a count of how many are selected in each
"Select all" and "Select none" work as you'd expect
Full Group and Category names are always readable
Works properly on phones and small screens, and with the keyboard
š·ļø Choose Who Sends Your Reward Emails
Winner emails from the Happy Wheel can now carry your Account brand name or the Unit brand name, so guests recognise exactly where their prize comes from.
Set it at Account level, or per Unit
A live preview shows how the name will look
The chosen name is used in the email subject, body and signature
If a Unit has no brand name set, the Account brand name is used
š”ļø More of your genuine feedback, counted
To keep your data reliable, Foodback automatically sets aside responses that look suspicious, for example ones submitted from a private browsing window. Since late August, an update to the tool behind this check caused it to mistake many ordinary Android phone browsers for private ones. As a result, a share of genuine responses was set aside when it shouldn't have been.
We have fixed this and added monitoring so a change like this will be caught much faster in the future. You may notice more foodbacks from this release onward.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
šļø Configure Categories in flexible Accounts
Account Admins at flexible accounts can configure the category names and order on the Pulse questions page.
š ļø Bug Fixes & Improvements
Copilot now correctly understands which venues belong to which Groups, applies your date range to foodback counts as well as scores, and starts up faster
Rewards: the same email address can no longer win twice within the quarantine window
Pulse Dashboard: Sentiment Mood and Score Distribution now show a clear "no data" message instead of an empty chart or 0% values
Pulse Scoreboard: the Groups view loads correctly when your venue filter includes ungrouped venues
One More Question: you now get a clear message if the end date is before the start date
We have cleaned up and quality controlled lots of the standard translations.
Manage Advertisements: the list displays correctly even with an ad blocker active.
āļø Under the Hood
Behind the scenes, new users can now only be created through an invitation, which closes a route for unwanted sign-ups. We've also improved our analytics API and deployment process. As always, we keep tightening security and stability under the hood.
